The Challenge

The renovation of nine serviced apartments at Radisson Golden Sands called for a more residential approach to resort living. From one-bedroom apartments to a four-bedroom penthouse, each space needed to respond to the different rhythms of couples, families and long-stay guests, while remaining connected to the coastal character of Golden Bay.

The challenge was to balance the comfort and familiarity of a home with the functionality expected of a resort apartment, creating spaces that feel generous, intuitive and grounded in place.

The Results

Inspired by the surrounding landscape, the interiors are shaped by tones of sand, sea foam and sunlit stone. Travertine, walnut and textured porcelain are layered with woven natural fibres, linen upholstery and hammered brass, creating an atmosphere that feels calm, tactile and closely connected to the coast.

Reconfigured layouts, carefully curated furnishings and spa-like bathrooms bring greater comfort and character to each apartment. The result is a collection of considered coastal retreats that combine the ease of resort living with the familiarity of a home by the sea.
